Best air fryer chicken thighs

 

I love a good easy meal! This one is super easy and the chicken always comes out super juicy with crispy skin! Try this and you’ll thank me!

 

Equipment needed:

Air Fryer - 7 quarts air fryer
Pan - I love this Always Pan
Meat masher- I used a potato masher, but here’s one
Saran wrap

Ingredients

Meat:

  • 4 bone in skin on chicken thighs

Sides:

  • 1 bag of fresh mixed greens

  • 1 bag of frozen mixed carrots from Trader Joe’s

  • Whole30 compliant salad dressing of your choice

Oil & Spices:

  • 1 tbsp Unami mushroom seasoning (I use Trader Joe’s)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • pepper

1) De-bone the chicken thighs

2) Cover the chicken thighs with Saran Wrap and flatten the chicken thighs so they’re all the same thickness using a meat mallet (I don’t have one so I used a potato masher)

3) Season both sides with Himalayan sea salt

4) On the side that doesn’t have skin, season with Unami mushroom seasoning (don’t season on the skin side bc it might burn)

5) Place skin side up in air fryer & cook @ 400 for 18-22 mins or until skin is crispy

6) Serve with TJ’s carrots & side salad with a Whole30 compliant dressing (note: the TJ carrots already have oil so no need to use oil to cook — cooked mine with way too much oil but it still tasted good!)
