Flank steak tacos (Whole30/paleo friendly)

 

I was craving tacos and didn’t have a lot of time to cook because i was STARVING so I picked up a flank steak and Jicama sheets for a quick meal! It was SOOOOO tasty!!

 

Equipment needed:

Air Fryer - 7 quarts air fryer
Cutting board
Veggie chopper - I love this one!

Ingredients

Meat:

  • 1 lb of flank steak

Produce:

  • Whole30 compliant taco sheets - I love the Jicama wraps from Trade Joe’s

  • 1 roma tomato (diced with the veggie chopper)

  • a bunch of cilantro

  • 1 lime for garnish

  • 1 avocado

Pantry:

  • Ctriusy garlic seasoning from Trader Joe’s

  • Onion powder

  • Garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Whole30 compliant hot sauce - this is my local fave!

1) Season both sides of flank steak with Citrusy garlic (about 1 tsp) and lightly sprinkle onion powder, garlic powder and salt & pepper to taste

2) Cook the flank steak @400 for 5-7 minutes on each side.

3) Once cook, open air fryer basket and let meat cool for 10 minutes

4) While the meat is cooling, prepare your toppings, chop the tomatoes, avocado and cilantro.

5) Lay out a couple of the jicama sheets on the plate and slice the flank steak in bit size pieces and prepare your tacos.

6) I served it with a bed of mixed greens and greek dressing.
